LEA signs MOU to Exchange Data with other agencies through Blue Trace.
No matter the Ticket Writer or CAD or RMS system they are using, Blue Trace exposes an Open API to receive their eCitation data.
Any officer that is using the Blue Trace App on their handheld or MDT is able to check a DL or LP & search across all subscribed agencies for any activity not limited to tickets, warnings, tow, driver exchange etc. & notify the officer.
Example Scenario A
Rickey White was stopped in Red Oak, TX for a speeding violation and was given a
warning…. And was stopped again in Kilgore, TX for speeding again the next day…. With Blue Trace… would the officer in Kilgore now issue a ticket and not a warning to Rickey?
Example Scenario B
A car with LP ABC123 was recorded in a hit & run accident in the Driver Exchange Records in Harlingen and was cited for being parked illegally in Weslaco next to a hydrant would trigger an alert to the officer issuing a ticket of the hit & run event.
